April Profits to Cancer Research | The Law Office of Bryan P Hoeller, PLLC
Last month (February), I lost my mother to ovarian cancer. Last week, a close friend of ours lost his fight to kidney cancer. And the list goes on – family & friends lost to cancer; family & friends who continue to fight for their life each and every day because of cancer. It’s beyond frustrating, but what can we do?
As lawyers, we fight everyday for our clients. We fight to protect them. We fight to defend them. And this month (April), The Law Office of Bryan P. Hoeller, PLLC is adding one more fight – cancer. For the month of April, we have decided to donate all of our firm’s net profits to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. All of it. If you pay a bill or sign up, any profit we make will go to cancer research.
Why the V Foundation?
For two main reasons:
- First, 100% of direct donations go to cancer research and you can see some of the amazing research that has been funded by the V Foundation, including research projects for breast, brain, kidney, leukemia, lung, and ovarian cancer – all cancers that have directly impacted our friends & family; and
- The ESPY award speech given by coach Jim Valvano in 1993 during his final weeks of life gets me every year when it’s played during ESPN’s Jimmy V Week. Watching the Jimmy V speech again today and thinking about my mom made it an easy choice. “Don’t give up, Don’t ever give up!”
Honoring Our Loved Ones
The loved ones that were taken too soon by this terrible disease and who this campaign is dedicated to include: Lillian Rose Cavanaugh, Kathy Johannes, Jerry Hartung, Jerry Hesseling, Jeanne Rose Hoeller, Fred Pertzborn, Harvey Phillips, Joanne Maiers, and Mike Smith. You fought a good fight, may you rest in peace.
