January 14, 2021 COVID-19 Update:
Felony and misdemeanor courts have continued to suspend all in-person court dockets for individuals who are on bond. It is still unknown when in-person dockets will resume. With it constantly changing, please check to see whether your court setting is an in-person or virtual Zoom hearing (some courts are even allowing for call-in or attorney appearances during this time period). With limited exception, all jury trials and in-person hearings remain suspended (the Texas Supreme Court has extended a previous Emergency Order limiting jury trials and in-person hearings from December 1, 2020 to February 1, 2021, and now to April 1, 2021). Note: a few courts are working on getting approval to conduct jury trials with approved COVID-19 protocols.
Our team of Colleyville & Fort Worth criminal defense attorneys and DWI lawyers at Hoeller McLaughlin PLLC are still helping clients and potential clients in need of an experienced defense attorney. We have been conducting consultations and client meetings on the phone or over virtual teleconference. We are also conducting in-person consults and client meetings by appointment only at our Colleyville office (please call to schedule an appointment). In addition, our office is adhering to the Governor’s Executive Orders, which requires masks & social distancing for any in-person meetings (Thank you!).
